Surrogacy

What Is It?

Surrogacy is when another woman carries and gives birth to a baby for the couple who wants to have a child. Using IVF, the eggs of the wife (or donor) are fertilized using the husband's sperms, and the embryo is then put into the womb of the surrogate. The procedure follows all legal protocols and rules.

When Is It Indicated?

The type of medical conditions that might make surrogacy necessary for you include:

  • Absence or malformation of the uterus

  • Adhesions in the endometrial lining of uterine cavity

  • Recurrent pregnancy loss

  • Repeated in vitro fertilisation (IVF) implantation failures.
